3D print

3D printing has been known for a number of years and has mainly been used for prototypes to test mechanical assemblies and parts before investing in expensive injection molding tools.
In the last few years, the development and supply of 3D printers has really taken off.

DPE has invested in a professional 3D printer that prints with real ABS plastic in 9 colors.

Our primary purpose with the printer is to offer our customers a professional interaction between mechanics and electronics in product development.

Since we print in real plastic, there are also great opportunities to use 3D printed parts for other purposes than prototypes.

Nearby application areas include:

  • Advanced test equipment optimally adapted to an existing 3D design
  • Smaller number of production items, where the costs of casting tools can be difficult to justify
  • Exhibition items, where functionality and colors are also important parameters

If you have an idea in sketch form or a 3D design that you would like to have in your hand, send us your design of the item and get a non-binding quote; it's cheaper than you think!

The 9 colors we can print in can make a big difference.

With a 3D printer at your fingertips, a multitude of possibilities open up!

Above is an example of a very complex test fixture, where 24 spring pins create electrical contact on a standard DIN rail terminal box.
Such a solution was hardly an option before the 3D printer entered the house!
